ABOUT THE STUDIO
Upon first walking into the historic charm of the beautifully restored studio/gallery space within the three story red brick building at 510 College Avenue, I quite simply fell in love. I immediately had the thought that the community of Racine need to be able to enjoy and have access to this piece of history within the downtown area. I feel quite fortunate that I am able to work in this space everyday, it truly represents a piece of the history of our city. Patricia Cummings wrote a beautiful article about the story behind the building and how Images by Camela found a home here for our grand opening. Thanks, Patty!
By special request the studio and gallery space is available for rent. It is the perfect location for small to medium sized sit-down gatherings/parties/showers or cocktail parties. Within the last year we have hosted numerous events:
- intimate concerts
- public speaking engagements on a range of topics
- yoga
- belly dancing
- meditations
- art workshops
- business workshops
- team building events
- birthday parties
- wine tastings
- potlucks
- community meetings, you name it!
For business meetings, conferences, or team building events, the gallery provides an organic environment to spark creativity and create camaraderie among co-workers or team members, along with full media set up and WI-fi to complete the job.
